On the evening of April 11, St. Mary Catholic Church was filled with laughter, music, and joyful memories as 120 guests gathered for the annual Father Daughter Dance.
From the moment the music started, it was clear this would be a night to remember. Dads stepped onto the dance floor ready to learn, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and more than a few creative moves. With the help of generous instructors from Performing Arts Dance Centre, who offered dance lessons at no cost, fathers and daughters quickly found their rhythm. By the end of the evening, the dance floor was full.
The night offered something for everyone. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal, tried their luck at the raffle, captured memories at the photo booth, and danced along with the DJ. Every detail contributed to an atmosphere that was both fun and meaningful.

We are especially grateful to Performing Arts Dance Centre for sharing their time and talent so generously. They offer a variety of classes and summer dance camps for all ages in the local community, continuing to foster confidence through dance.

Events like this do more than entertain. They create space for connection! They strengthen relationships between parents and children. They build a sense of belonging within the parish community.
This special evening was made possible by the dedication of the School Parish Organization (SPO), whose mission is to support both the school and the wider parish community. Their efforts, along with the many volunteers who helped with setup, food preparation, check in, serving, and cleanup, brought the entire event to life.
Because of them, families were able to simply show up and enjoy time together.
SPO continues to play an important role in fostering community at St. Mary. Parishioners are invited to be part of this work by attending monthly meetings, held on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the Teacher’s Lounge.
