St. Mary Parish Council invites you to an
-International-
Celebration
One Parish. Many Cultures. One Faith.
Saturday, August 29, 2026
5:30 - 8:30pm | Front Courtyard
Join us for an evening of food, fellowship, music, and celebration as we come together to share the rich cultural traditions that make up our St. Mary parish family.
Whether your family has lived in Delaware for generations or recently arrived from another part of the world, everyone is invited! Share a dish from your family's culture and celebrate our Universal Church...together as one parish.
What to Expect
Following the 4:30 p.m. Vigil Mass, we'll gather for an evening that includes:
-
An international potluck dinner featuring dishes from around the world
-
Brief personal testimonies from parishioners
-
Square dancing and family-friendly activities
-
Time to meet fellow parishioners and learn about different cultures
Schedule
5:30pm – Guests arrive after Mass, final food setup
5:40pm – Welcome and opening prayer
5:45pm – Potluck dinner
6:05pm – Programming
6:30pm – Square dancing and other family activities
8:30pm – Wrap-up!
Cultural attire encouraged!
Everyone Can Square Dance!
Don't sit and watch—join in! Our experienced caller will teach every dance as we go, so no experience or partner is required. Square dancing is fun, active, and a great way to meet fellow parishioners. If you know your left from your right and can count to 7, you're ready to dance!

Bring a Dish to Share
Our meal will feature foods representing the many cultures of our parish.
When you register, we'll ask you to let us know:
-
How many people form your family will attend
-
The country your dish represents
-
What dish you plan to bring
Dishes may be a main course, side dish, or dessert. Homemade or store-bought items are both welcome.
Please bring enough to serve approximately 10–12 people if possible.
