Welcoming Our First Communicants to the Table of the Lord

Over the past several weekends, we celebrated Holy Mass as 37 of our children received their First Holy Communion.
The Eucharist lies at the very heart of our faith. Instituted by Jesus at the Last Supper, on the night He was betrayed, it is both a sacrifice and a meal. At every Mass, the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. He is truly present!
For these children, this moment follows their formation through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, where they have come to know Jesus as the Good Shepherd who calls them by name and invites them to His table. Now, they take their place at that table for the first time.

Their witness is a powerful reminder for all of us. Their faith calls us to reflect on the gift of the Eucharist and to approach it with renewed devotion.
We are proud of these young members of our parish and grateful to their families, catechists, and all who have helped guide them to this moment:

As a parish, we celebrate with them and continue to pray that they will remain close to the Good Shepherd and return often to the table of the Lord, where Christ feeds us with His very life.
