General Information

St. Mary offers a Boy’s Football program for all eligible children attending the school or active in PSR entering grades 4th-8th. Practices can start as  early as August 9, 2010, before school begins. We plan to have evaluations in mid-July with a mini-Camp at the end of July. Games are played from mid-September until October, normally for 5 weeks. In 2009, we fielded a Varsity (6-8th grade) and a Reserve team (4-5th grade).

This year practices and home games are being held at Buckeye Valley HS. If there are not enough participants, the SMAA will attempt to work with other parishes to allow our students a team for playing time.

At the end of the regular season, each team is separated into tournament divisions, by regular season records. Therefore, teams that have similar records will play over the next week or two and have a chance at the Bowl Championship. Schedules are not normally released by the Diocese until the Wednesday prior to the start of league or tournament play. The SMAA purchases individual trophies for regular season or tournament champions, normally presented at the season ending banquet in November.
