All the troops participate in a Church Mass during Girl Scout Week. New troops begin in September but can be joined at any time.
Junior and Cadet troops exist at St. Mary's and are open to all girls in the parish. The Junior troop enjoys various activities such as doing crafts, going roller skating, and earning badges. A "lock-in" is held each year. Junior scouts are girls who are in the fourth and fifth grades.
The Cadet troop is comprised of girls in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades and is open to all young ladies in the school and parish. These girls participate in a variety of such projects as face painting at the annual St. Mary Bazaar and delivery of calendars, city-wide. The girls do camping, horseback riding, and skating.
