We have a small group but warmly welcome new members. We will be meeting the 1st. Thursday of each month in the morning at 9:30 AM. Darla Quail is the chair of this committee. We will be working with other parishes from the Central Ohio area and also keep up to date with The Greater Columbus Right to Life Organization.
Our Mission Statement
The Respect Life Program is sponsored by the Catholic Bishops of the United States. Its goals are as follows:
- to proclaim sanctify and value human life as a gift from God and the foundation of human dignity.\
- to oppose and ultimately do away with all that destroys or endangers human life.
- to support or encourage the development of whatever sustains, nourishes, or provides for the proper enjoyment of life.
- to place emphasis on and create advocacy for whatever meets particular needs of families and individuals.

St. Mary Parish Respect Life Events
October is Respect Life Month and we will be erecting crosses in our courtyard at St. Mary Church. There will be one cross for each abortion done in Delaware County in 2007. We are hoping to have a special mass or prayer service to promote all life. Watch this website and also our church bulletins for additional details.
Our next committee meeting will be held on Thursday October 7, 2010 at 9:30 AM. This meeting will be held at Kate Yonkura’s home at 210 Knights Dream Drive. Please come and bring a friend. All are welcome. Any questions call 614-582-2164.
40 Days for life is from September 22nd thru October 31st.
This is a community based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program.
-Prayer and fasting
- Constant vigil
- Community outreach
This is a time for intense prayer to end abortion.
October 14, 2010 - We will be going to the Abortion Mill on Cleveland Avenue in Columbus to pray for at risk babies. We will meet there at 10:00 AM. We will pray there for about one hour and all are welcome. Any questions you may call Darla Quail at 614-378-2558. .

Prayer for Life
O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life: look down, O Mother, upon the vast number of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy.
Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the gospel of life with honesty and love the people of our time. Obtain for them the grace to accept that gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the creator and lover of life.
