Faith Formation : Parish School of Religion (PSR)
Welcome to the St. Mary Parish School of Religion webpage!
The Parish School of Religion (PSR) mission is to assist parents in the religious education and spiritual formation of their children. Our program is committed to the spiritual development of students in the parish (K-8th grade) who attend non-parochial schools. We are excited to transmit the message of Jesus Christ to the families who participate in our program!

Welcome to the 2014-15 PSR school year!! We are so thrilled to begin our year on Sept. 28th. We have some exciting news: we have 83 catechists, aides, office staff, teen volunteers and babysitters to run the PSR program for 480 kids for the year!! Thank you to all parishioners that prayed for us to help get these awesome people together and to volunteer. I hope you will seek out the volunteers and give them a great big thank you. I know some of them do not even have child in the program. They followed their baptismal call to evangelize to God’s people. So thank you, everyone!
Catechetical Sunday Sept 21st at the 10:45 Mass we will be recognizing and blessing the 83+ catechists.
PSR Classes will be on September 28th and go to May 3rd. They will be on Sunday mornings from 10:30-12:00 and Sunday afternoons from 3:45-5:15. The confirmation class called Oneight does start at 3:30-5:15. PSR will have a police officer in the parking lot for the first few months to help us navigate the parking and traffic flow when PSR is in session between the Masses.
The evening Mass will be at 5:30 this year 1st-3rd Sunday of the month.
Please keep praying for our program.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
this year for 3 -5 year
olds. The program is called the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and is based on the Montessori method. I am very excited about offering this great program here at St. Mary's. We
will have 2 trained catechist (90 hours training) available to launch the program. We will need a lot of help getting our atrium furnished. We will also need some 3 - 5 year olds, so if
you know anyone who may be interested in the program please let them know about it. Please see the link below and also go to the web site www.cgsusa.org.
If you have questions please call or email Maria Vonada (369-8228, email@example.com
For more information go to the link below to view a video from a parish in Long Island, St. Margaret of Scotland, where the priest himself is the catechist and formation leader. The video is a nice introduction to the program.http://www.saintmargaret.com/Media/cgspresentation107.wmv
