Faith Formation

Our mission at St Mary’s is to teach the language of the Lord and the culture of Catholicism to our parishioners no matter what their age or stage is in life.  You can never stop learning. We never stop learning between Baptism and First Communion and Confirmation and on to Marriage or Holy Orders and on to Last Rights. I cannot say it enough just keep learning.

Please visit the links listed to the left to find a program that will benefit you!

What we offer for you:

Ages: Baptism of infants

We begin baptism classes for the parents usually starting with pregnant parents, but can be at any age! All are welcome.

Ages: School aged children Prek-12th grade

We continue as the child grows and they enter school age we have either Catholic Pre-School or Catechesis of the Good Shepard (Preschool through K).

We have Catholic school and Parish School of Religion from Preschool-8th grade. They both follow the Religious Graded Course of Study also from the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio.

Where St. Mary’s differs from every Catholic Church in the entire United States is we have a Youth Group to compliment the traditional classroom from after First Communion in the Second grade on through 12th grade.  This is another avenue for internalizing and applying the youth’s faith in their life. It follows the Religious Graded Course of Study also.

Ages and Stages: Adults in the parish

We then continue with the Adults in the faith through either RCIA, Catholics Returning home, or we have Ministry of Mother’s Sharing for new mothers and families, and as always the Small Groups that are always forming and reforming.

We are running bible studies and lecture series every year.  There are always learning opportunities in the Catholic Times and on the Diocese Website.  We usually can get a group to go together if you give us enough time.

Never feel you know enough about your faith.  No one can know it all.  Share your knowledge and we can all learn from each other.
