3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

St. Mary sponsors a 3 on 3 Basketball tournament in July, this school year July 16-18, 2010. It is the 5th annual tournament offering several days of “fast-paced” basketball in the beautifully Air Conditioned St. Mary Gym. Last year, teams were grouped by grade (e.g. 3-4th, 5th, 6th, etc.). Games are half court, normally running clock, and as many as possible.
IT IS OUR MOST SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER…in terms of fun-packed action in a short period of time. Separate teams of 3-4 boys or 3-4 girls may register (and one coach – not required) for children entering grades 3-9. There were over 50 teams that were able to play 4 or more games throughout the tournament. Eligible teamsmay be formed by any entity and have come from Marion, Worthington, St. Matthew, et al but do not need to be connected with the Catholic School system or the Diocese. The actual seeding, divisions, and number of games are variable due to interest. Trophies are awarded for the top team in each division. In addition, the weekend has shooting contests, raffles, and lots of fun!!
